The Initiative | Purpose
The Initiative is a project based company directed by Isaac Knuteson. The company is gathered with group of dancers from California, Ohio, Wisconsin, Texas & more. Isaac wanted to create a group of dancers he could rely on to perform his work all around at multiple festivals/events/showcases. The company has been offered to get opportunities already in Texas, California, NYC & more. Isaac reaches out to the company once an opportunity has presented itself & then sees who is available.
Dancers then learn the choreography on video recording or Zoom. Isaac wanted to be able to give professional dancers the chance to grow/build there performance resume if they wanted & to give pre-professional students the opportunity, to experience the professional world & to start up there career & build their resume. The company is split up into two groups.
Main company, are dancers who are over the age of 18, & training/dancing professional in the industry. Apprentices, are dancers under the age of 18, & still in training.
